Hi, I am Jacob!

I'm a Network Administrator with a focus on cybersecurity at Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation. I specialize in building secure, resilient IT environments that support real-world operations and business continuity. 

In my role, I help keep things running smoothly and securely behind the scenes. That includes maintaining the systems people rely on every day and staying ahead of potential issues before they turn into problems. I enjoy working on solutions that make things more reliable, efficient, and secure. 

My education includes a diploma in Information Technology Systems Management from TCAT McKenzie and two degrees from Western Governors University: a bachelor’s in Network Operations and a master’s in Cybersecurity. Along the way, I’ve gained several certifications:

• ENCOR passed; ENARSI next (CCNP Enterprise)

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+, Pentest+, CASP+, Project+

• Google Cybersecurity, IT Support, IT Automation with Python

Before this role, I supported a smaller school district in West Tennessee as their IT Systems Administrator, managing core IT infrastructure and leading key upgrade and migration projects.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy playing pickleball. I’m committed to continuous learning and using technology to make a meaningful impact in both my organization and community.
